Glaucoma Assessment

Contact Hodd Barnes for a Glaucoma Assessment in London –  Assessing the optic nerve for early signs of Glaucoma requires a high level of instrumentation and skill. Our screening tests include a full Comprehensive Glaucoma Exam. Early detection is possible through regular and complete eye exams and is the key to protecting your vision from damage caused by glaucoma.

A complete eye exam includes five common tests to detect glaucoma. These include measuring the inner eye pressure, Tonometry, the shape and colour of the optic nerve and Ophthalmoscopy. Also the complete field of vision is measured with the angle in the eye where the iris meets the cornea looked at along with Gonioscopy and the thickness of the cornea.

What Glaucoma actually is: We get a compression of the optic nerve due to the increase of pressure within the eye.
